Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, commonly known as Imran Khan, is a Pakistani politician, former cricketer, and philanthropist. He was born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan. Imran Khan rose to prominence as a cricketer, captaining the Pakistan national cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup, which remains Pakistan's only World Cup win to date.
Following his cricketing career, Imran Khan entered politics and founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996. He has since been a prominent figure in Pakistani politics, advocating for anti-corruption measures, social justice, and reform. Imran Khan became the Prime Minister of Pakistan after his party won the general elections in July 2018.
